Going to go on a bit of a ramble here as need to vent.
I've worked at my current company for nearly 15 years. In that time I've worked my way up into a management position and have worked in various different admin departments. The company's value has gone up by over 20 times since I started. There's been around 20-30 key members of staff including me largely responsible for that – I worked through Covid when many others were furloughed and I've spent many evenings and weekends doing unpaid overtime. The thing is I never really minded as I largely appreciated and was supported by my fellow colleagues and managers who often did the same.
That is until a year ago our company was bought out by an investment company. They have the goal to increase us in size fivefold in the next 3 years and then sell us. They installed their own chosen ceo, coo, etc and kicked out most of the old board (albeit they all got lovely paydays).
Since the new COO has been in charge, she has systemically either made all of the experienced members of staff quit or has made them redundant. She has then installed her own friends from the company she came from – They in turn have introduced their own colleagues. A year ago, I'd say 80% of Operations had been here at least 5 years. Now at least 60% of the Operations team is from this other company – bear in mind this is about a 200 person team.
It almost feels illegal to have this level of cronyism but the worst thing is there's no one from Senior management level to talk to and HR don't reply.
Again, no questions here but just wanted to rant to like-minded people!
