A few days ago I posted something about that I knew I'm going to get fired because I'm going to ask out the co-worker. I already had another job lined up.
A lot of you armchair dating coaches told me how stupid I was and to post an update and here it is.
I asked her for her number and didn't tell her why I wanted her number, I told her it was for professional reasons. At that very moment, I panicked.
I found out the next day from my boss that it's not against company policy to date coworkers it's just frowned upon. I got a bonus the same week to my Surprise, Of course, my bosses have no idea.
I told the new job to shove it and that I didn't need the position. I waited a couple of days after I got her number and I sent her “good morning” text. About 3 hours later she responds with “hey”.
I asked her how she was doing, and about 8 hours later she responded ” I'm ok thanks”.
I haven't seen or spoken to her since so I'm just gonna avoid her at work and I have deleted her number.
I'm in my mid-thirties and she is in her mid-twenties, I'm not gonna play games.
