Needed a job, found one on indeed that looked promising. High salary and all that jazz. Applied, was invited to the webinar, got thru too the second stage. Was invited to third stage on the spot. Did third stage and got hired (This was all on zoom). The job I thought I was applying to was a sales and marketing role in an office.
Oh how wrong I was
It was with a r/devilcorp
the job was door to door sales, long af hours, cultish vibes. We would be in the office around 9, loud music practicing what we would say to customers. Lots of shouting and it seems now they were trying to pump us up for a day in the field. Then we would go to the field, about an hour or so away to walk the streets knocking on doors. In office around 9 and leave the field at around 8
Apparently we are self employed, now I know that's so they don't have to give us rights. How can we be self employed when we have so many regulations and controls.
Promises of riches and owning our own offices, being in control, now I know that's the exception. The vast majority are being exploited. Most of the ppl there are v young
I think iv done a terrible job of explaining so if u wanna know more u can dm/comment or look at r/devilcorp
