I was looking for a new job over the last few weeks and suchnsuch company was one of the companies I applied to. I got an interview with the company immediately, and the recruiter said they'd like to schedule a hiring manager interview with me. Problem was, over the course of two weeks I was able to hold a recruiter interview, hiring manager interview, and get a job offer all before suchnsuch reached out again to schedule the next interview. Suchnsuch was expecting to pay 10k less than the offer I already had, so I told the recruiter politely to shove off. 3 days later I get this email.
Dear Candidate,
Thank you for applying with suchnsuch company. A great deal of thought and consideration went into reviewing the qualifications of all who applied. After careful review of the impressive resumes we received, a small group of individuals was selected for the interview process. Subsequently, we selected another candidate for the position.
We sincerely appreciate your interest in our position and encourage you to continue to explore other positions of interest within our organization. We will keep your application on file to be considered for other open roles. We wish you success in your career endeavors.
