I think it’s funny, how especially in the service industry (restaurants in my case) owners and managers think that they have supreme control over availability especially when short-staffed. I put an availability request to not work a certain day at my job and it was immediately denied since we are slightly less staffed that day.. well I responded with a two-weeks notice. Now you will be slightly less staffed for multiple days.
