The office is outside of the city, about 1h30 commute because I dont have a car. The reason he wants everyone back to the office is to create a team bond and make employees feel better.
Going to the office was optional for everyone the last 4 years and nobody came. Nobody quit and the finance director told us that the team has never been more productive than now.
The only argument he gave me when I reminded him I was hired as a full time remote worker was:
'' It's only once every two weeks, that's not much to ask''”
I really like my life/work balance right now and I dont really care about going back to the office, It makes me feel anxious and I dont care for my cowokers. I never worked in a office since I gratuated during covid.
I'm really irratated by this situation, am I overreacting? Why can't we just let poeple make their own decisions?
