I’m actually making $18.75 per hour, which is a few dollars more over minimum wage here
State and federal taxes are ridiculous, in addition to social security, Medicare, and disability tax, wtf!!!
I’m not even joking when I say I have about 23% in deductions each paycheck. 23 PERCENT
I’m too afraid to do my taxes myself and make a mistake, so I have them done for me “professionally”. I’m getting back a total of just over $640. How is that even possible?
Guess that’s what I get for being single with no kids.
I was expecting back a few thousand. I feel so dumb
I know the solution is “just get a better job”, but easier said than done. Why even apply somewhere low paying in the first place then?

Taking so much from someone who makes so little is annoying as hell, but something they have no problem with
I don’t even break even, I have to borrow money from my parents and I work almost full time hours!
I have it all written down and I am paying it back, they’re not exactly rich either, guess that’s another problem!
