So earlier today, I had a computer issue at work. I tried the usual troubleshooting crap. It was a very specific problem, an easily reproducible issue.
We have been having issues with attacks on our network, and had multiple meetings this week about security. Apparently, there are people offering employees a lot of money for their credentials. A couple of workers got fired for this.
The guy in IT asked me for my credentials and when I pointed out that we just had a meeting with his manager telling us if we shared our credentials, we would be fired.
He actually got pissed off at me. I can’t even report him because he is related to the owner.
I just got an email from my boss that the guy complained that I was “uncooperative” and I should realize those rules don’t apply to IT.
