So I work in the fire service and one day like 3 or 4 months ago I went home at 7pm which was halfway through our 24 hour shift to take care of my sick girlfriend. She rarely gets sick and when she does she's very adamant about dealing with it herself. But this time she was really really sick so I went home early. I have not heard the end of it since that day. Constantly they talk about how she's a baby and needs to take care of herself and that she's messing up my sick leave and I need to man up and not “give in”. Just the other day one of my coworkers was trying to talk shit and said his wife is home alone with their 1 year old and she's really sick but you don't see him calling in just to go take care of her. Am I in the fucking twilight zone? Sorry my job no matter what it is well never come between me and my family. I feel bad for their wives since their husbands are stupid cavemen lol what do you guys think?
