I'm so tired of applying for jobs. If you are a hiring manager struggling finding the 'right' candidate, this one is for you. I'm tired of interviewing with companies that require 2 to 3 interviews and on some occasion, make you wait a whole month to hear if you got the job. I'm tired of negotiating my salary with low balled offers. I'm tired of companies that require salaried positions so I can work 12 hours a day for 365 days of the year; which equates to being paid $16.50 an hour. On paper, $52,000 sounds nice but it is not and you could make more working 2 jobs at a fast food joint.
If there is one promise I want to keep to myself and encourage others to do:
Stop the interviewing process if they (company) require more than 2 interviews.
Stop the interviewing process if they are taking more than a week to get back to you to tell you if you got the job.
Stop the interviewing process if they are hiding the pay rate and require salaried exempt (no overtime).
Start looking for another job if their bonus is a pizza party.
Start looking for another job if getting a raise requires too much hassle.
