Bottom-of-receipt survey help

So I was recently laid off (with many other people) at my comfy remote job and took a position in retail. In this particular position a lot of emphasis is place on getting people to take an online survey. The link prints out at the bottom of every receipt and we are supposed to direct people's attention to it and write our names near the link so they can comment on our customer service.

I have a variation spelling of a common name, and it's long-ish. Recently I had a self-inking stamp made with “Please take my survey! — (my name)” so I could just stamp the bottom of the receipts.

This has not gone over well with my co-workers, who think I should not be allowed to use it as it is not “xx company approved”. I did show it to my direct manager who thought it was a cute idea and said nothing about my not being able to use it, BUT I assume at some point the issue will make its way up to my DM and I'm not sure what the reaction will be.

For the life of me, I can't figure out what the difference between writing my name and stamping my name is. I know the whole issue is juvenile, but I was hoping you all could help me come up with some arguments in my favor. (and not just “get another job that doesn't require you to do this”)

Thanks in advance! 🙂
