I work at Apple as an LP specialist for a contract security company. I saw an ad on indeed for another LP job . I was hoping to maybe get it part time to supplement my barely scraping by budget.
During the phone interview, the recruiter mentioned that the job was at the same shopping center that I work at already, at a tech store. They couldn't tell me exactly where but there is only one tech store there.
The kicker? Pay is 4 dollars less an hour.
I told my boss about it, he was completely unaware. Turns out my company subcontracted through the one I applied for, and the parent company no longer needs subcontractors. The sub company has no other contracts in the state so if I don't transfer and take the pay cut, I'll be laid off.
So it looks like I'll be paid 4 less an hour to do the same job. FML.
