Working Saturdays in an Office Setting?

Hi everyone! Lurker here but wanted to post and see what you guys had to say. I hope Im posting in the right subreddit and following all the rules! Also, my question doesn’t apply to jobs in retail or food service, because I understand (for the most part) that those types of companies are open 7 days a week. (All respect to you guys!! ) I was recently offered a job in an office setting, but was kinda blindsided by the fact that it is a 6 day work week. I was recently offered a job in an office setting, but was kinda blindsided by the fact that it is a 6 day work week. This was never brought up until orientation, and I never thought to ask about it because it seemed like the typical M-F, 9-5 type shtick. I already have to commute pretty far roundtrip to get there and back, but was fine with doing that 5 days a week in order to make money and get experience. I also currently work retail/weekends, so I was looking forward to having time off to spend with my family. In all honesty the thought of working on a Saturday in this type of career field gives me the ick. There are a few other things unrelated to my question, but relevant to the position, that I feel were not communicated clearly to me either.

I guess my main question is, is this common/normal? Should this be a red flag, either by just having a 6 day work week or by not communicating that aspect to me sooner? I graduated semi-recently and am entering the big work world so maybe Im a little naïve lol, but I appreciate all answers you guys may have for me!
