I was asked to provide references and I did. I got a follow up asking me for my previous employer. I worked there for about 5 months and quit due to harrassment from my supervisor. Obviously I can ask her to be a reference. There is no hr department or anyone else I can ask. I can't leave it off my resume though or else I have an even bigger employment gap. What do people do? I can't be the only one but no one knows what I should do. I could lie and say they don't give references, tell the truth, or contact my old boss but I don't think she would be kind.
