Sunday Scaries 1 week into my new job

I recently got a job at a fast food coffee chain (you can imagine where), after exiting a toxic work environment at a small business. I chose to work at this coffee shop bc I have 8 years experience working at one of their grocery store locations. I wanted out of my other job so badly that I resorted to this, and I genuinely convinced myself it was the best idea. (The small business I worked for paid $16/hr, which is hard to come by in my area — coffee shop pays about the same) About 2 days into the job, I realize I made a mistake & could not endure this job long-term.

About 2 days into the job, I realize I made a mistake & could not endure this job long-term. Luckily, I applied for a different job with good pay, and had an interview 2 days later.

The interview went really well (at least I believe so!). I like the way the job sounds, and the interviewer even told me not to worry too much — that I did very well & that we share similar characteristics/work ethics. He said I would hear back sometime this week.

ANYWAY, I am dreading going back into my barista job, and I want to quit. The problem is I have no savings, and my credit cards already have some high balances. I feel like I’m stuck there until I (hopefully) start working at this new job.

Does anyone have any advice on getting through a situation like this? Are there any creative ways to make money in the mean time, so that I don’t have to go back? (I’ve been working on a freelance art project & selling some of my art at local pop-up shops, but it’s not quite enough to make ends meet)

Either way, thank you for hearing me and letting me vent! I’ll probably have to stick it out for a few weeks haha 🙁
