On probation for not doing my bosses work.

I work in accounting and my role requires bank accesses that need to be granted through our treasury department. One specific banking portal is notoriously difficult to get access and I still don’t have it. Sent 4 emails to my boss since January telling him I don’t have this access. Also confirmed and documented with 3 other people including the treasury team that it’s his responsibility to get accesses for his team. Last week he exploded on me because I didn’t have access to complete a task he requested. I sent him the 4 emails again and included messages from the 3 others detailing it’s his job to get them. The next day I was written up and put on probation despite no prior issues with my work. Reported him to HR for retaliation and the extent of HR’s “investigation” was simply asking him if it was retaliation. Of course…

Learned the hard way what I’ve read so many times. HR is just a bunch of rats.
