Antiwork

If you knew that your job could be in jeopardy, would you jump ship or wait it out?

My current workplace is going through budget cuts, and they announced recently there could be layoffs. I feel like my position may be in danger. It’s non-essential, and I’m at the bottom of the totem pole. My parents are telling me to be positive, and to ask my company if I’m in danger. But I’m like, they could lie? Tell me I’m fine and then cut me later on. Obviously, I don’t want to quit prematurely, because I would lose my amazing salary. But I have a backup job in place, even though it pays significantly less. But it beats no money at all.
