Quitting today – my supervisor took sick!

Hi everyone, I am about to quit an administrative job that I have been working for the last 5 years. I accepted a job offer at another place, and I am looking to put my two-weeks notice today. My direct supervisor has known the entire time of the prospects of this new job, it just took time for me to receive an actual offer. I told her last week that I plan to call a meeting with her and our senior director today, however, she called in sick today. Is it bad if I just go ahead and file my two weeks notice with my senior director? Also, something tells me that my supervisor isn’t sick but doesn’t want me to tell our SD that she knew all the time – of which I agreed not to, I don’t want to put her in a tough situation with her boss.…

Also, something tells
me that my supervisor isn’t sick but doesn’t want me to tell our SD that she knew all the time – of which I agreed not to, I don’t want to put her in a tough situation with her boss. However, I can’t say I appreciate her not even showing up. I cannot delay my two weeks notice since I have already agreed to a start date with the new place.
