So I had posted recently that I was considering quitting my job due to a hostile work environment.
Well today I received the employment death sentence a “PIP” professional improvement plan.
With a 30 day window to prove adequate performance uptick in vage subjective things like:
Situational awareness.
I don't have a copy of the PIP because during the conversation I just told them not to waste their time with one because I planned to step down from the position anyway either into a separate role with the company or outside the company. Regardless I do not intend to remain a controller.
I have a formal letter written up in regards to this and it is ready to be sent…
However.. it just dawned on me.
In the PIP plan it is written that they want me to improve my “attendance” and SPECIFICALLY referenced that the concern was drawn from when I received notice to attend jury duty I did not request to reschedule. And that because my excuse was “I did not know I could” it was not justified.
I have them the notice a few weeks prior the day of the summons and provided proof… Lol I think I might need to talk to an attorney.
Problem is I didn't. Ask for a copy of the paperwork.
I'm trying to get it now and hope I do.
Either way I will not be working either for this department or for this company here in the next few weeks.
