This happened in the fall, but I’m just now feeling up to writing about it. My boss (with my permission) sent an email out to the entire office of over 100 people about my dad’s death. He said he needed to so people would know why I haven’t been as responsive. The thing is he had my dad’s incorrect. Like it wasn’t misspelled- the name was completely wrong. I didn’t correct him and he never mentioned it, but I was surprised at how hurtful it was. Just a reminder to us all that they really could not care less.
PS- He told me my position is being cut last week- it was our first meeting in months.
