Currently employed but wanted to look around. Saw a local outpatient diagnostic center had a job available and it would be a better schedule without call or holidays so I figured I would apply. I got a response the next day on Sunday.
They asked me what a good time for an interview was, I told them 3pm Wednesday. They messaged me back asking if 3:30pm was okay for Wednesday which I said it was fine. Moments later they emailed me back asking if 3pm was okay because they already have someone for 3:30 so I just let that slide and said okay.
9 minutes before the interview on my lunch break they send me an email saying “actually we are cancelling the interview and we will do a working interview instead, what day is good for you?” I ignored it. They called me at 3 asking if I saw their email and I told them I did not (since they should honor the interview we had scheduled OR let me know in advance – just as they would expect from me). We had a mini interview and it went well.
They asked me if I could do a working interview soon. So I told them ext week Tuesday or Thursday (assuming it was the close location where the job was available). They tell me that I need to drive to their location that is 40 minutes away from Tuesday or Thursday, so I said I’ll move things around for Friday. We set it for Friday at 8:30.
YESTERDAY I get another email asking if I can go to their other location that is 40 mins away Tuesday or Wednesday at 8. I thanked them for their time and said I would be exploring other options.
Always pay attention to the subtleties that an organization is completely disorganized and RUN away.
