No one at my new job takes their 10 minute breaks?

I started at this new Woodshop yesterday, and one thing that’s bugging the fuck out of me, no one is taking their 10 minute breaks??? This company just started in January, moved from Texas to Cali, and 2/5 of the workers came from Texas with the company. I don’t know if I should just keep taking my breaks like normal, or fall in and don’t stand out? The job is 15-20 minutes from my house, in an area where everyone commutes 40+ miles one way. And the pay is really well, and the work load isn’t overwhelming. Don’t want this to be a deal breaker but? it’s awkward taking a break while everyone else works. One of the owners said breaks “weren’t mandatory” to take and no one takes them? Weird.
