Legal Question for NY workers

So I'm currently working at a Pizza Hut, and business has been slow as molasses these last few weeks, and I've been sent home early most nights as a result. As in within an hour of myself clocking in. Now if I'm not mistaken, they need to pay me for 3 hours regardless of how long I'm here according to labor laws in NY correct? They have yet to do so according to my paystubs. Also, there have been times where I have been called 10 minutes before my shift to tell me I'm not needed for the day, which I also believe to be a violation. I'm just looking for clarity as this is hurting financially, and wondering if there is a remedy to this, or if I am misunderstanding NY labor laws.
