Background- I have been working part time at a pizza store while studying on the side for more than one year and have always went above and beyond to be available when the store was short staffed. I have always worked and cleaned as if it was my own family’s store.
I have recently started an awesome IT internship and have been able to work just 1 day at the store.
Today my manager told me that I should either increase my hours or they will have to hire someone who can work more hours instead of me.
I perfectly understand their position but I still feel like an idiot for going in even when I was not scheduled because they were short staffed and this conversation broke my heart.
