I’m a supervisor in a warehouse and my manager (dept. manager) is a monster!
He went up to a storage location, without the proper safety lanyards or PPE. He climbs up and tries to dislodge a stuck piece left there by an outside contractor. While doing that, the pallet of product moved forward and got himself smashed between the pallet and guard rail of the forklift he was illegally taken up on. He was almost passed out from suffocation, when I decided to bring him down, pallet and all, no matter how painful it was. Long story short, he was ok. I was traumatized, because I literally almost killed him. He told me to keep it quiet, but the work relationship has since soured. If I report this, is there a statute of limitations on this, and will it look like a retaliation thing now that I’m thinking of reporting it?
