So at my new job, I got told that I'm not allowed to take a lunch because I'll be by myself every shift. I thought “Surely that can't be legal” and lo and behold, it is. Less than half of the US, plus Puerto Rico and Guam, have legislation that actually mandates that employers give you any sort of break if you're over 18. But I literally don't have any choice; I'm basically broke and this is the only place that has even called me back for the last fucking month.
