This was now my fourth job I've worked at and it will now go down as the worst job I've ever had. I got fired from the job for not meeting their expectations/sales a week and I couldn't be happier…
To start off, the company and my managers would frown upon you if you didn't make more than 300-400 calls every shift. Each break between each call wouldn't last any longer than a few seconds each, many instantly after finshing a phone call. Every call I would start with an intro of “Hello My name is blah blah blah, you took a survey recently on the _____ Claim, Were you or any family members affected by this?: Most of the time I would get either hung up on or screamed/cussed at.
They would also monitor every second you were not active on the dialer taking in calls. So even if you have to pause to go take a piss break, it would start counting your “break time”, even in between calls when you're not on a call.
Before I started working on my first shift, they force each new worker to give them their home's IP address so you wouldn't be able to talk your device anyway to do your work, even though they allow those to personal devices. So…basically it felt like house arrest.
The Managers would also guilt tripped those to constantly keep picking up overtime and take weekend shifts to continue making the constant calls to an audience where 95% don't even know why or what the fuck you are calling for (some bs Camp Lejuene bs, if you called by one of these people before, you know what I mean). Managers would pick favoritism and would punish those that don't make sales. You also wouldn't able to ask for any unpaid days off ever after using up your two weeks of PTO, (sick days, vacation, personal mental days, funerals, etc)
I could go on about the constast bs I had to deal with this job, and sorry for the rant, but I couldn't be happier and I already scored another job (although it will be a in-person job for now) and I couldn't be any happier. Fuck Cold Call Paralegal Services Companies
