I don't understand why most of the places around my area that are “urgently hiring” never respond to any of my applications when I so do need a job. This is even worse when EVERYBODY is pressuring me to get one, for context I haven't worked in over two years after moving into a new place 30 miles away from my old hometown. I've been living off of my father ever since.
For the record, I find it embarrassing. At this point in time, I SHOULD have found a job by now. But how am I supposed to when nobody responds to my applications?
I have: a coverletter, resume, and all the contact info in the world. How is it my fault that I am 20 years old with only fast food experience and want to learn a new skillset?!?! It's honestly annoying as shit, what the fuck is it with employers wanting a million qualifications for a job, are “urgently hiring” (once again), yet are so picky on the process? I totally get training is a lot of time and money, but if old people want to actually stop complaining about us newer generation peeps to get a job, then how about employers show people with as little experience as me the same opportunites they would've given 30 years ago.
I swear to god, if I don't find a single successful job opportunity soon I might do something I'll probably regret later on. But in the end it won't really matter.
