Lack of AC at Work

I work at a coffee shop where the AC hasn’t functioned since I arrived. The temperatures get up to 78 degrees and with labor it feels much much hotter. Recently I brought up to a team leader that the temperature is concerning, especially because I am epileptic. On top of that, I am also pregnant, and heat is one of the triggers for my seizures. If I have a Grand Mal I may lose my baby. Today I came back to find out that he now has an HR case opening up because the upper management is saying that ‘he violated HIPAA and shouldn’t be talking to us about health issues’. I brought this up to him, does that count as consent? I spoke to my neurologist who also expressed concern and let me know she will write me a letter. I’m just worried now that he and I may…
