J1. I told my boss good afternoon instead of good morning and he got really offended. He thought I was commenting on his tardiness and let me go.
J2. 4 years later… my new boss has a problem with me leaving 2 hours early to see my doctor. I am a cancer survivor, but I don't tell him that because people have always told me that leads to discrimination. I am forced to do PTO for the next two weeks, and then take my 2 hour leave to see my doctor for a simple visit. That same week, my boss tells me I'm being let go because I am not pulling my own weight, which is ridiculous.
