So to start off, I see so many people shitting on anyone who wants to go back to the office. Saying it’s just boomers. No, it’s not. Some people actually enjoy a commute and social interaction. Or they live with people who don’t respect work from home and want to avoid that. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT. Do not generalize “anti work people only believe in work from home and only capitalism wants you in an office”. No. It should 1000% be a choice, but too many people here don’t even respect a personal preference. You’re wrong if you disagree and actually enjoy being in person.
Another one. “I don’t understand why people work hard because I’m XYZ”. Okay, some people just have a personal sense of doing good work. It’s not because the company expects it from them, it’s because they expect it from themselves, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER IT’S THEIR JOB OR A PERSONAL GOAL. Some people just want to do the best they can for themselves. That is no shade on anyone who separates their own goals from a company but some people care overall. And there is nothing wrong with that. If you can completely separate it to only “my job” and “giving my all to my interests” I’m happy for you, but there is also nothing wrong with feeling you do your best in every aspect of your life. It’s not about doing it for a job, it’s just it’s because that’s who you are and there’s nothing wrong with it. We all know you can do that and still lose your job if the important person doesn’t like you. Even the people who give their all to a job. They know it doesn’t matter but they won’t compromise who they are as a person. Stop shitting on them.
Also, yes. The US sucks for job rights. We know this. Repeated posts from other people won’t change it. This entire platform is just a joke against the US. This platform has been here for how long? And it’s actual purpose has change immensely. All it is is shit posts of “this is a text from my boss and how o stood up to them”, with no actual context beyond your angry post. It’s bullshit news articles that we all know are stupid but is used on this subreddit to shit on anyone who gives a damn and anyone who would actually like to be around others at work. It’s all shitting on other generations.
This entire subreddit is a damn joke for the purpose it had. The point of this was to build a world of work because you love what you do regardless of what it is and what makes you happy and what you’d be happy with life you to contribute NO MATTER WHAT IT IS AS LONG AS YOU ARE HAPPY.
