I just need to rant.
There's been illness going around the area. I am pregnant, and don't want to get sick because I can't use any good cold meds, and when I get sick I usually lose my voice and my job involves a lot of talking, so I'd have to use sick time (which I don't have much of at all). Thankfully, my job is heavily remote and my husband commutes to an area that doesn't seem to be having this issue, so I've been able to avoid contracting anything so far.
I work remotely 4 days a week, so I reached out to my coworkers to ask if they're feeling okay because my in-office day is coming up and I don't wanna come in if they're sick. They said they're not, so that's good and I'll go in, but then one started BRAGGING about coming into the office for a MONTH previously while having bronchitis and pneumonia. WTF. The whole reason to have a hybrid or remote job started with NOT spreading infectious diseases. Now I feel like I can't trust that they'd be honest with me if they were sick.
