What is your opinion on interviews that have more than 5 rounds?

I have reached my ceiling, I am paid significantly below average for my experience and expertise, and I am not appreciated. So after 4 years I am now looking for another job. I am currently in an interview with 6 stages. I think that’s absolutely ridiculous, but I am forced to go along with it as this is the only job, out of all the jobs, that I am the most interested in. After the first screening interview, and I was told there was 6 stages, my heart sank. Interviews should not drag on like this. I have completed the second stage and have been told the next stage is a case study and presentation. Fine, then that’s 3 interviews, why the need for 3 more after that? It’s redundant and a waste of time.
