I gave them two weeks notice that I wanted to take a day off (that’s this coming Sunday) I have plans but to be fair it’s flexible enough that I can cancel them. Today they texted that my time off was denied but “they’ll keep looking for coverage” yeah right.
So, friends…my gut instinct is text back and inform them that they’ll have to, because I will not be there Sunday (on principle) and then I can call out sick on Saturday night because that supervisor is really nice and will understand, however then I’m definitely leaving her short staffed for Sunday and I don’t want to do that because like I said, she’s really nice. There’s also the chance that management will chase me down to bitch at me that “I can’t do that” because they try to make EVERYTHING a problem. Unless they want time off, or to leave early, or better pay, or a holiday… every single thing is a fight and I’m young and incredibly shy and really don’t want to get it into. However I have gobs of unused time off because it’s always denied (and last time I tried selling it back they pitched a fit too) so I just need people’s opinions on if I should make this fairly small thing a hill to die on? They’re going to fuss, they’re going to be mad, and quite honestly I can reschedule my plans, but I’m also really sick of them constantly trying to walk all over me every chance they get
