work during mass power outage/state of emergency in OK

Oklahoma was hit with a huge supercell with 100mph winds Saturday night that has put over 200,000 in the area without power and left insane amounts of damage. we’ve also been in a heat advisory all week and a lot of people (including me) have been without power in 90+ temps since Saturday night. my areas not even projected to have power until this Sat the 24th. it’s been hell to say the least. yet my minimum wage job just got power and my boss (who never lost power) expects all their staff without power to come back to work immediately and even work overtime to make up for days they had to close. i feel like no one else i work with is furious enough about this. all our food is spoiled, these temps with no power is a health crisis, many gas stations are out of gas. it…
