I've just about reached my limit, I don't understand why its so insanely difficult to just find a place that cares about their employees and listen to their concerns. Unfortunetly the size of the company doesn't matter, my company is only in the north east region with just a couple of stores and everybody knows eachother and are super friendly. I thought that maybe they'd listen when the team would say certain things aren't working when implemeted, but I guess not.
I'm tired of working for people who don't care about me, so I'm starting my own. Itll be a company of just one employee (me) temporarily, but further down the line I want to hire people. I've learned about profit sharing and co-ops. I'd like to implement other things like good pay, insurence, higher increase in accrued PTO and sick days, but what about things like madatory paid time off once a month for a week? Also what about leaving for the day when the work is done? I don't understand why I should stay for 8 hours if the work takes me 3 hours to complete? The company I'm running is a CPG company so, when theres an order, if it can be fulfilled in a couple of hours, people should be able to go home.
In regards to the way of pay, I know that salary would work with the idea of a couple hours per day, but what about overtime? If people want some extra bucks, I don't want to stop them too, but I don't want to incentivise overworking either. Not sure how to handle this one.
Ultimately I want my company to be a tool to fund peoples lives, not people revolving and planning their life around work.
I don't have experience running a company, I was considering looking at some european companies because they seem to have a better model when compared to the US. I'd love all feedback and ideas!
