I work for a large, corporate home health company. Today they announced they are being bought out by same people who own United Healthcare for 3.26 BILLION.
2 months ago I was told I was due for CPR recertification and that it would have to be an out of pocket expense.
A company worth 3.26 billion won't even pay for their healthcare workers (who generate all the revenue) to get mandatory CPR training. $100 out of my own pocket plus 3-4 unpaid hours of training in order to go make the company money.
Make it make sense.
Can't wait to see how the bigger corporation tries to squeeze even more revenue from us. Profit over people always in privatized healthcare.
