Had to call sick and feeling bad about it

Don't know if this is the proper subreddit to post it, but I will give it a try. Little backstory: I work in a kitchen, from months I work alone in my section (while all other section have 2 people working) because the HR can't find someone to help me (I'm in the UK). I have a disability (lost part of my right shoulder when I was young, had a new one after a surgery) and sometimes it hurts bad. This morning I could not help myself but calling seek: beside my shoulder, I walked so much last night during my shift that my legs were aching and shaking when I was walking home, this morning I can't take a step without having cramps. Plus, my shoulder hurts. Today is supposed to be a busy day, but in this condition I could not handle another day of my sous chef…

Little backstory: I work in a kitchen, from months I work alone in my section (while all other section have 2 people working) because the HR can't find someone to help me (I'm in the UK). This morning I could not help myself but calling seek: beside my shoulder, I walked so much last night during my shift that my legs were aching and shaking when I was walking home, this morning I can't take a step without having cramps. Plus, my shoulder hurts. Today is supposed to be a busy day, but in this condition I could not handle another day of my sous chef saying thing like “Use those f*ggot arms of yours to work!” or “Walk faster on your s*ssy legs!”. Oh, and if you think “You should report them immediately” their policy is “You don't like our way? That's the door! Find another job!”.

End of the story, I'm on my bad aching, feeling bad because I could not make it to my toxic job today.
