Kind of a mini rant
I worked at mcdonalds a few months back for two weeks. Production (cooking the food) because I didn't want to talk to customers. Bad pay, some annoying managers (one of them was actually kind of nice though), decent employees
Interestingly, several people there talked about how “no one wants to work here. We just had someone quit the other day”
The main thing that stuck with me was the title quote
This is because, I remember vividly the managers sitting on a chair for hours and while they weren't sitting on a chair, several of them were leaning. I think I rarely saw a single one of them actually cleaning
However, if an employee leaned, it was so petty. “Really? What's the rule around here?” And stuff like that
Now look, i'm not saying I expected to never clean. “restaurant cleanliness” was in the job description afterall. But not being able to lean at all during downtime without being shamed? That just feels so silly to me

Also, as a bit of a warning: If you ever ask your employer “are there any hidden rules I should know about here?” when they ask you “any other questions for me?” 100% of the time they will say “no not really” and then something exactly like this will spring up on you. I may or may not know from experience of trying this a few times
