Since being offered the job, I've had to sign paperwork that includes access to my credit history and basically everyone I ever knew.
I was contacted by a third-party consumer reporting agency DEMANDING me for W-2's from a place a worked TEN years ago. The IRS only requires 8 years of retention for an audit.
I've been their drug screening, I've submitted everything they want their background check and consumer reports.
They e now told me I may need to wait “a few more weeks” before they can give me a start date.
I'm up against it. I'm out of money and facing homelessness.
