Title correction and TLDR- My professional level coworker showed my venting posts about my coworkers to my BOSS (from Reddit)when i was in trouble
I have never had a problem with this Professional coworker (whos last day was Friday).
The other day a coworker and I got into it because stupid shit. Basically the young newer employees like to talk to me with an attitude. Coupled with a crazy Karen making our lives hell. I reacted wrong. I admit that I was mostly in the wrong. Is my boss pissed at me? YUP? Am i literally on my last warning? Also yes. So he talks to everyone and it because a shit on Tina fest. Am i probably the cause of some of it? Sure.
However, bosses always take the word of a group of friends who are literally scamming them then a person trying to defend herself.
But I hate this HS culture in professional offices where its like a Mean Girls. Im too old for this shit.
So this professional level ex coworker who is probably reading this- and then will email it to everyone.
I see you. I hear you. And I wish you luck in the future. Because you are going to need it. Being a gossip will only get you soooo far.
I love my job in my field. I love my work. Our bosses are all fair(albeit still being bosses) and my direct supervisor is smart and funny but they don’t trust me and all of my past mistakes are always brought up.
I don't hate any of my current coworkers . I don't wish malice upon any of them . I was venting about my frustration at the situation at the time. If you see my history- you see all the crap i have been through and all my venting posts. I am sorry if any of you were offended. But those are my personal feelings and has nothing to do with the way i treat them or my work.
So why is it the post brought up and none of my mental struggles is not.
I just want to do my job, have no conflicts, stay in my quiet corner and work (I'm an introvert)
(Note that I am doing things behind the scenes to make myself a better employee)
Moral of the story.
-
Never trust coworkers. Especially when they run in mean girl packs
-
It’s not ok for you to defend yourself.
-
If you lose your “reputation” ie bosses don’t trust you: don’t bother to try to do better because it won’t get you anywhere
-
A crazy Karen is more likely to write a shit review than any of the clients/customers you are nice to on a regular basis
