Got laid off and not interested in a 9-5 office job situation but want financial security and inflows of cash to survive

Any suggestions, how can I figure this out? I met some entrepreneurs who were able to do this and figure out their schedules so they were also able to explore the world and still live quite comfortably. Please help me.
