So basically I just had a baby I’m 7 weeks PP. I’m scheduled to go back to work in August while I have been on leave the company decided to fire all of the lab and management at a dr office I work at. They also closed down one of the clinics. I think they are going bankrupt. I was told by an ex manager to be careful because legally they can’t fire me while on maternity leave but once I come back they can. So the rumor is I’m going to return to work for one day and then be forced to quit because they are going to cut my hours down to 4 hours a month. I’m not sure if I’m able to get unemployment if I quit. All the employees they let go are putting in claims to workforce to get them shutdown for what they are doing. They are also waiting weeks to give the last paycheck. I was one of the few employees to help start up the office so it’s disappointing they would do this to me but not surprising.
