Nervous Breakdown Vent

My father died in a horrific way in April. My manager has been supportive in that if I need to cry I can and I have a note keeping me on reduced work hours for now. My issue is that my manager is also extremely self obsessed and obviously has issues of her own. Some days it's all I can do to come in and work, and I take the advice of my therapist and put on music, try to set boundaries etc. My manager has absolutely no respect for my personal boundaries. She drones on and on and on about every detail of her life when I think its clear I'm suffering from major sensory overload. She gives me so much useless information that my brain is overloaded and sometimes I'm in an intense moment of grief and I don't wanna hear about what she had for lunch. AND…

AND THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T WORK FROM HOME! CAUSE HOW WOULD THESE MANAGERS GET THEIR CONSTANT ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
