I would like to know if the range I am expecting matches the range they have to work with. This way we can part ways if they are not compatible without wasting too much time.
How do you recommend I ask this, while remaining polite, to get a straight answer? For example currently, I've asked twice and the recruiter is ignoring my questions and asking their own. I answer them, then rephrase my request.
I am heavily experienced in my field, have a stable job currently, and not too worried if they lowball; I can walk away.
