Ever since i asked for the awaited “promised promotion”, employer is trying their best to prove i don’t deserve it

pretty much the title but for more context: i have completed over a year at this job. i was hired on the promise of promotion after first performance review. When the review came, it was great but All i got was excuses about “procedure” which is not true. And now ever since that day, my manager is trying his best to point out non-existent things that didn’t even happen, without explanation. Few days back, I made the mistake of caring and notified about some issues i found in the project so that we could work on them and prevent mess ups. it was not my job but a mistake because then he made it his responsibility to explain basic stuff to me which i already knew. i asked one question bc i couldn’t recall that thing, then he went ahead with explaining THE WHOLE PROJECT to me which i obviously…

Few days back, I made the mistake of caring and notified about some issues i found in the project so that we could work on them and prevent mess ups. it was not my job but a mistake because then he made it his responsibility to explain basic stuff to me which i already knew. i asked one question bc i couldn’t recall that thing, then he went ahead with explaining THE WHOLE PROJECT to me which i obviously knew. he made this comment that i have “zero knowledge”. if i had zero knowledge, firstly how did i work on this project alone this whole year? how was i able to find issues that nobody else did? All of the bs all bc i asked for a promotion he himself said that was “well deserved” and blamed it on his superiors.

This company has lied about leaves and benefits also while the reality was so different. Most of the things they promised were just lies and i feel conned. I literally have given so many extra hours of my day bc of work pressure and it is never enough. I am so drained, i don’t even have any energy left to start preparing to leave soon.

sorry this became a vent. i cannot think rn, needed to rant so badly. could use some advice on how to mentally cope rn and i want to start applying elsewhere soon.

Edit: this manager also asked me “reason” for a leave i applied for in months. ONE DAY LEAVE, IN MONTHS!
