I feel like this is against the rules somewhere

I had started getting flu symptoms during work, then on my day off it got worse, so i messaged my branch manager and supervisors that i wont be in for work the next day. Later that same day the branch manager sent out news saying that because we are so understaffed, every single employee scheduled to work must come to work on time, the entire shift, no. Excuses. Decided to still not to go in that morning, but got a call saying i needed to be at work because of the message. I complied. Came to work with a mask and a hobble cause my brain was all fogged up, and was immediately singled out by emergency health services on premises. Was sent home quickly after that, and went to a clinic for testing, and found out i had covid. So because of the branch managers franticness to keep attendance, he knowingly made a sick worker come in to work because of no excuses, and exposed all the other employees with covid. I was out for a week after that as required by the employee care crew, but unfortunately i didnt get any reimbursement for my required leave, was told i had to use my available sick leave or use my vacation hours.
