I was at this fast food place for over 5 years. I typically have patience for most customers with an attitude, but I had a customer come in today who was being extremely rude from the jump. So she scans her phone for points and as I’m trying to confirm her order, she just ignores my question and starts moving her hands to get me to move faster and give her her coffee. I asked her a total of 3 times and she still won’t open her mouth. I say, “it’s not paid for yet.” She says, “it’s supposed to be free give me my coffee, or scan it again.” So I scan it again and it’s still not free and she says, “can I have your name so I can complain about your attitude.” Funny thing is, I barely had an attitude lol . I ignore her and hand her her coffee. She asks again to which I respond with, “respect is a two way street.” Before she drives off I get a “fuck you” to which I responded with, “fuck you” as well. My assistant manager saw it all and gave me a thumbs up. She says this lady always gives everyone a hard time and even told the assistant manager that she’s a bitch and doesn’t know how to work. 10 minutes later, my general manager calls me into her office and asks, “did you tell a customer to go fuck herself?” I said, “no, I said fuck you.” General manager says “you’re done, get your shit and leave.” Honestly, I really needed this to get the fuck out of this toxic environment. Mainly what’s toxic is the general manager, not so much the customers. But still, I’m just in shock that she fired me so easily when I was a good worker and hardly gave her any issues. Anyways, I threw my hat and name tag on the ground along with a bunch of baking trays. I also cussed my general manager out in the storefront as she was taking orders and she ended up turning so red lmao. She deserved it. She was an extremely toxic boss. She fired two of my other friends for petty reasons and she even fired one of them through voicemail.
