I’m tired of the standards that it cannot be legally considered false advertising if a company hires you on the claim they desperately need people to the point of being open about wanting to hire 15 year olds, yet once hired they refuse to give people work of any kind like they advertised. It’s perfectly legal under United States employment laws since it is “at the choice of the company” to employ you.
And the fact that child labour laws are being rolled back enough to even allow companies to make it harder for people under 18 to be able to attend school and work “part time”. I may be 20 but at a previous employer i know how they treated people under 18 who worked for them just as badly to the point of causing them to fail in school.
We need better laws to prevent stupid shit like this, and i’m sure you all will have more labour law ideas, like an increased minimum wage (I’m all for), or even the fact that employers now Require Wifi connections to be able to do something like apply for a fucking job but won’t provide the wifi needed to do such. (Applications are easier from a computer).
The whole job industry is fucked in the US right now. Give me your law ideas, i’m curious to hear from more folk
