We recently got a new manager.
We have 1 meeting a week for 45 minutes. They are supposed to direct and lead the meeting . This is how it’s been for the 3 years I’ve been working here …
She brought up today that she made a schedule for the next 4 months having each of us employees lead the meetings instead ….
This is so counterintuitive the manager is supposed to share any leadership updates and advise on current issues.
So now each of us in our team have to put together an agenda to lead a team meeting….
Is this normal has your managers / leads done this ?
I feel like it’s laziness . We already have a high work load and she acknowledges this daily so why give us something additional to prep ?
